Has anyone ever heard of something like that? What is the purpose?

So that's what's going on next to the IPF?

No the addition onto the IPF right now is a new player meeting room (film room) and Freeze's new office. This is underneath the SEZ.

You ever made the walk to the locker room from the field? It takes a few minutes.
The opponents take about 20 seconds to walk to their locker room.
This will allow a ton more time for our coaches to make adjustments at half.

Pretty much

I'd say a combined 7-8 minutes are wasted because of how far the locker room is when you factor everything in.

Yeah I've walked it before. It's a trek

then remember it usually takes a coach a minute or two to do the TV and radio interview. Also they're usually back out on the field with two minutes left before 2nd half doing warmups again.

Nutt used this as a big excuse his last 2-3 seasons.
He had a valid point.....not that it would have made any sort of difference with him coaching though.

This is what I was going to ask, how far the actual locker room is from the field? Makes a lot of sense knowing that.
Probably the worst place I had been to as a trainer was Cincy before they renovated. The "opponent's locker room" was at the top of the bowl and above the pool in their athletic center. There was no training area so we had to tape ankles on the floor between partitions in a hallway. It was nuts.

In the middle of the IPF.

really? They basically leave the stadium to go next door at the IPF? I did not know this. But then again never really thought about it.
That's about a qtr mile isn't it?

IPF and VHS are almost (soon to be) connected so its no where near that far but its obviously far enough to build a seperate locker room.

Essentially, yes.
I'd say closer to an 1/8th mile though.

There's a long hallway connecting the IPF to VHS.
