There's a whole book on his desk, plastic sleeves holding some of his most famous works. Lying on top is a recent sketch - the Mississippi State banner M logo shining over a cityscape like Gotham City's Bat-Signal, with a note imploring a potential recruit that only he can help the Bulldogs save the day.

I love it. Maybe one day we will get a commit.

Is it wrong of me to think this isn't as stupid as some people think?

No. People, for some reason, seem to forget that we are talking about 16 and 17 year old kids here. Are they more likely to read 100 long arse letters or laugh at a picture? Then what happens? They tweet it and your school gets more pub. I'm cool wit it. This is why I told everyone to calm the hell down when it first came out.

Honestly no it's not. I think as where some of us find it dumb and childish, one has to remember that is exactly the target to whom these letters are intended.

As TDs said do they really want to read through a 100+ letters or would they rather open the Mississippi State fortune cookie to see what's inside this time. To me it's simple, these kids are to some extent entertained by this and yes it's unique and sticks out from the rest. If they are sending these type of letters and legitimate ones all at the same time I find it to be a good ploy to make sure your letter is read and your schools name sticks out.

I don't know how I would feel about OM doing this but I will definitely say I'm not as opposed to it as I once was ...

I agree. I posted that block quote mainly for the last sentence.

However, in this instance, I don't view this as bad publicity.

absolutely. I like this though. I think it's both hilarious and awesome, especially when state fans get all fired up about it.
