Love that move. Especially since I remember reading that he had lost some of his quickness due to the knee problems, but was a lot stronger because of his constant workouts.

So CJ, Shack, Whigam, RN, And Ward will be the rotation?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Ward move inside.

CJ
Hooks
Gross
Ward
Woody
Bennett
Martin
Nkemdiche

They want 6 DE's and 6 DT's. I seriously doubt they move Ward inside.

what are the chances CJ sees any time back at LB? Or has that ship already sailed?

Think about this:

Lets say CJ is back at full speed by midseason..well thats when we hit that 6 game homestand. I love our chances with a DE rotation essentially consisting of

DT
CJ
RN
CW

I think you will see RN and CW at DT in passing situations. I don't see either moving to DT full time though.

With our offense you have to have a lot of bodies on the DL. If you can have 3 lines with little or no drop off, we would be in great shape. We are still a year or 2 away from that.

He may be "full speed" by fall camp but I am more talking about him being back to 100% game shape. Yes, hopefully it will happen by ab game 3 or 4 but you just never know.

Dt was playing end anyway a lot before his injury so don't think this is any breaking news

Considering that when asked what position DT would play this spring, the coaches said LB, and since he has not been listed at DE in any practice report, then yeah, yeah it is. Now shocking news? No of course not

So I figure our rotation will look like this for Vandy if CJ is ready to go:

Group 1 - CJ and Whigam
Group 2 - Ward and Nkemdichie
Group 3 - Shack and Thompson

Rotate groups every 2 plays. Should be a hell of a group and a strength on our team.

DT would have backed up Marry and Lewis will be our passing situation MLB, according to our coaches. So to me that is the same as your rotation. What the coaches have said in regards to DT playing DE is that he doesnt have that quick first step at LB, but we can't keep him off the field. I think he is at DE to start. Of course they could be putting him there because he's better there and I could be just reading too much into it. All is well in Rebel land

As long as he is healthy enough to play, I dont care if they put him at CB. He'd fine a way to make plays.

Out of necessity. So long as we're healthy and deep, he won't play inside.
