Any updates on him coming back? Smith pitched well Sunday, but I Ellis seems to have that "it" for the weekend rotation.

He threw without pain yesterday.
Bianco is usually pretty guarded with injuries though. If he says a guy is 90% it could be anything from a hangnail to a coma.

I'm driving down to Oxford Sunday for the aTm finale and I expect Chris to draw the start

I wish it was just a hangnail. Hope Chris makes it back in the rotation soon.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him skip in the rotation this Sunday and start the midweek game next week , giving him a few more days to heal. JMO

Bailey might've just moved himself up the depth charts, and I wouldn't be surprised if he got moved up to be the Sunday starter.

quote:No way that happens. Set-up role is arguably more important than Sunday starter. Bailey isn't conditioned for 4+ innings regularly either.
