Alabama - Rolling Stones - dominate in the 60s and 70s with continued relevance the following decades. Some scandal along the way.
Ole Miss - The Beach Boys - had a brief but impressive run in the 60s but have done little to nothing since.
Auburn - Michael Jackson - big in the 80s with a bright stardom too often mired in scandal and controversy.

South Carolina - Carrie Underwood - up and comer who for practical purposes was unknown/non existant just a few years ago.
