Killz,

My PhD adviser is not happy at my current university and is looking for a faculty position at another school. If he goes, I have a few options. 1) I follow him to the new school, retake a few classes, and continue my research under him. 2) Stay at my current school and be co-advised by a professor that remains on campus. 3) Quit and go into the job market with my masters degree.

Factors playing major roles in the decision: My gf (probably fiance within the year) still having to finish her undergrad, academic quality of the new school (will in all likelihood be more academically respected), financial compensation for move/ cost of living increases, etc.

Well, let me ask you this...which option are you considering most at the moment and why?
