what's the difference between that and the usual? state had a respectable stretch under polk and a good year here and there afterwards. otherwise, state has been unremarkable.

Our history is "unremarkably" better than LSU's -- if we're discluding the eras that both of our expectations were set. What have you actually been without Bertman? The difference? He didn't stick around an extra decade and run it into the ground.

does that matter? even if state owns the head to head, the 2 programs aren't equal.

Is your reading comprehension really that bad?

possible, yes. likely, no.

And why is that? We've got all the makings of a consistent baseball power. If you are too ignorant to see it, that's your own problem.

or what?

Or we hire one of the 10-15 other uber successful MSU alumni in the coaching game throughout college and semi-professional baseball.

even if you discount the 90's, that's debatable

that's awfully convenient for state

so it only took 3 posts to get to the obligatory personal insult. better than most around here. yes, it is possible for state to own the head to head but for lsu to be the better program

quote:

And why is that?
because state doesn't have the athletic budget to sustain that kind of success. it's simple math. where is wichita state these days? it's hard enough for the florida type programs to do that. basketball is a bit of an exception.
