Do any of you have the book Captain Joseph Boyce and the 1st Missouri Infantry, CSA? If so, could you post Regimental strength figures listed for the Battle of Shiloh? I'm going through an old OOB for the battle that I created a couple of years ago for a buddy that wants to use the figures for a war game. The figures that I have, 500 men, is an approximation and I just figure that a commander would have better estimates. I'll never call yall yankees again if anyone posts accurate data... :) Thanks...

Yeah, those are probably just enlistment rolls and doesn't show actual strength at the battle. At any rate, I just found out that Cornell University has the entire The War of the Rebellion: a Compilation of the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies online. Hopefully I can find what I need in there as the printed edition of these books is very expensive. Thanks though...

I will. A quick scan through the Offical Records only mentioned that the 1st was part of the Reserve Corps in the battle. Could not find returns or reports from the commander. The search continues...

Damn, info on this unit is hard to come by. I have an almost complete set of Confederate Military History but am missing volumes 6, 8 and 9. Volume 8 is Tennessee and volume 9 is Kentucky & Missouri. Just my luck... lol
