What's that got to do with Birmingham or Jefferson County?

Sorry, meant Jefferson County, had Franklin County on the brain because of an ongoing legal issue with an owner there.

Jefferson County has defaulted on so many jobs that half the city is under various liens right now waiting to be settled in various BK courts .... it is a travesty that the city is even allowed to operate that way. If a citizen of the city defaulted on taxes owed at the rate in which the city, and Jefferson County, default on their bills --- well, it's going to end-up happening that way regardless. Doesn't matter. It is inevitable.

As the article indicates, no one is happy with the leadership in Birmingham right now - no one. Yet their is absolutely nothing that can be done about it - it is what it is. So the time to gtfo is now.
