Now that the recruiting season is over, we have some sense of the team we will be fielding next year. It's time for some way-too-early predictions!

THE SCHEDULE

Aug. 31 at Vanderbilt
Sept. 7 Southeast Missouri
Sept. 14 at Texas
Sept. 28 at Alabama
Oct. 5 at Auburn
Oct. 12 TEXAS A&M
Oct. 19 LSU

Oct. 26 IDAHO
Nov. 9 ARKANSAS
Nov. 16 TROY
Nov. 23 MISSOURI

Nov. 30 at Mississippi State

I see 6 that I’m absolutely positive Ole Miss will win. I have them in BOLD.

I have toss-ups in ITALICS. I have a feeling Ole Miss will beat Vanderbilt and Texas but I’m not confident enough to bold them.

There’s no way we win in Tuscaloosa.

Texas A&M, I really have no idea. I think they’ll be much improved and will challenge Bama for the West BUT we have them in Oxford and had them on the ropes this year.

We always play tough against LSU and we’re due for a win in this series. The game is in Oxford and a young team that gave the Tigers all they could handle in BR will be ready. I think Ole Miss wins this one but I’ll call it a toss-up because, damn, LSU has so much talent year in and year out.

I’d like to say we’ll beat Mississippi State but we have rarely won in Starkville over the past decade so I’ll call it a toss-up.

Final answer is at worst, I have Ole Miss going 6-6. At best, 10-2. We’ll probably finish somewhere in the middle.

I know you guys were wondering what my thoughts are on the matter.

If we can beat Vandy we will give Texas all they want. If we lose to Vandy we are looking at 6 wins probably. Beat Vandy and Texas we are looking at 8 or 9.

I really agree that the Vandy game is HUGE this coming year.

Biggest OM-Vandy game, maybe ever?

I'm expecting 8-4.

But I think we can easily get 9-3.

What I think it will come down to is us upsetting either

LSU A&M Bama Texas.

I really think we can get LSU and that will be our 9-3.

I would say yes. But that is like saying it is the most epic midget fight ever. It is kind of a dubious award

I'm the same way you are... 8-4 is most likely but wouldn't be surprised with 9-3

But as stated above, our game with Vandy is so damn important this year...
