About their vacancy at OL coach. I think it would be a huge blow to lose him, let alone both our line coaches in the same year.

Also it will be interesting to see how Spurrier reacts if Elliot has/will interview and doesn't get the job after seeing his comments after Lawing left.

How concerned are yall about this?
Just to be clear nothing has been confirmed.

Would they promote within or would the try to make a quick hire if he leaves. And whats the honest possibility he leaves if offered the job from Bama

Bama source said they are interested in him is what I read. I haven't seen anything about him interviewing. His departure would be classified as a "bad thing."

I was waiting for you to weigh in on this now!!

OK, I think we are all aware of your negative perception of Coach Elliot, (from your past posts). So now that the National Champion program (who won 3 of the past 4 BCSCG's) has him on their short list for OL Coach...does that change your perception of him?

Elliot was replaceable, but I'm glad he's staying. He's done a good job recruiting, though our O-line underperforms year-after-year. That being said, anything is better than what we had with John Hunt.

For the last time I don't have a negative perception of him. I simply don't understand why he gets talked about like he's god. Also this proves nothing. For all we know Saban only even spoke with him to piss off Spurrier. They sure as hell didn't put an offer on the table because we all know he'd have taken it. And I can't blame him.

I simply don't know if he's all he's cracked up to be or if Lattimore made him look good. Guess were all gonna find out this season aren't we? I'll be more than happy to eat that crow with some Pete's Red Hot, " I put that shite on everything".

Was he really on the short list? I mean do we really know that?

I will agree that a nutless monkey is better than John count.

Agree 100%, I never understood how a guy could recruit that much talent, but do so little with all of it. We had several 4 star OL, and he couldn't get them to do shite. John Hunt was the worst OL coach on any team, that I ever cheered for.

He'll with it throw em in. I'd love to eat that flavor of crow. Tastes like SEC championship. Matter of fact make it 1300 total. Can we agree that 1300 from a single back other than latti is a good sign of being a great Oline?
