Once we forced stans out, the issues became somebody else's.

Only half true. The problem may have been someone elses, but that doesn't mean the problem wasn't created by Stans.. Take Renardo for instance. Renardo was a lazy piece of crap when he left, and left because A)He was stupid enough to think he'd get drafted or B) he didn't want to work. Assuming Sidney's not an idiot, he was either going to leave anyway(he was a lazy piece of crap), or he left because he didn't want to play for Ray(Stans was letting him get away with being lazy piece of crap). Either way leaves us with one of three situations.

1) Sid was going to be lazy no matter where he went(Stans shouldn't have recruited him)
2) Sid was lazy, could have been coached into a better work ethic, but wasn't(Stans didn't coach him up)
3)Sid was a normal athlete, but a lazy program made him into a lazy person(Stans lowering the bar)

Personally I believe situation 1, but I don't doubt situation 2. If a coach cannot recruit players with integrity and teach them to be proud of their program, what reason are they gonna have to stay when things get tough? It's like when someone asked Ray what he was gonna say to the players after the loss in the press conference last night. "This is an embarrassing loss. If they can't can't find pride in themselves and pride in representing Mississippi State Basketball and I need to tell them they did bad then somethings wrong." Who's to blame for us having lazy guys like Sidney that won't stay? Who's to blame for us having kids like Smith and Zeidaks that we have to kick out for repeated drug use? Who's to blame for not instilling a pride in your program and state that a Jackson kid decides to Duke when the coach who couldn't get his players fit enough for sn hour ling workout?
