And reportedly CB Darrin Smalls is expected to commit on his visit this weekend...that'll take care of 2 of 3 DB slots we have for this class, per most insider talk. We have great positions with several other DB prospects:

D.J. Smith (4* 90-grade per 24/7) - per Clemson's 24/7 site is down to USC and CU....Tennessee had been among the leaders for him for some time, but may be slipping. Smith wants to wait until NSD but with the other commits he may be pressed to make a decision sooner. He will visit USC this summer - perhaps for our Showcase Camp - and see a game.

Chris Lammons (4* 93) - has us in his top 5 without ever visiting us, and plans to do so this summer, perhaps for our Showcase Camp. Recruiter Grady Brown has done great work here of late and really put USC in the picture. He's still strong on Miami which was his early favorite and IMO they are in the driver's seat. Will decide on NSD.

Quincy Wilson (3* 86) - Has USC in his final 8 and is planning to visit sometime this summer, perhaps the Showcase Camp...

I want to wait to start a thread for our 2015 recruiting class so we can focus on this cycle, but with this class being so small and the activity happening lately with the '15 class pretty much rivaling our current class' pace, it's been hard not to.

But the news is that we offered '15 CB Mark Fields today and we already lead big for him. Fields is the namesake of Mark Fields who played for the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers. Mark Jr. is already a 4* (90 grade) prospect per 24/7 Sports and is reportedly a burner with sub 4.4 speed. It looks like our 2015 class is sizing up to be one for the ages...
