....oh shite..... She's promoted as a staunch conservative, but now is using state money and the state's plane for her college's football recruiting?!?!

That's pretty pimp, but she should lose her job.

According to some other reports I've seen this isn't exactly groundbreaking news and Clemson has reimbursed the state in the past for use of the plane. It remains to be seen whether Clemson football recruiting was prioritized, though, over official state business. Or whether the plane is made more available to Clemson football coaches than USC's.

Still not sure that I like the idea of the plane being used AT ALL by any school's athletics dept.

The news came out in October, but the tweets from the coaches are making this a popular story again.

Here is some more information of how much this is costing the taxpayers.

https://thenerve.org/news/2013/01/09/State-planes/

"A review by The Nerve and WLTX of Aeronautics Commission summary reports of state plane flights from Sept. 1, 2011, through Sept. 30, 2012, found that Gov. Nikki Haley, state lawmakers, Clemson University officials and others collectively took at least 118 mostly round trips at a total taxpayer cost of more than $215,000.

Clemson accounted for about $89,000, or 41 percent, of the total cost, the single-largest percentage among all travelers, followed by state lawmakers who, as a group, accounted for nearly $60,000 of the total, records show."

In fact Clemson honored Haley during the 2012 Orange Bowl by using her likeness on play-calling placards.

“She loves helping them,” one journalist familiar with the flights said.

That's ironic.

I am sorry, not trying to make a political statement, but any gamecock fan that votes for her should be shot.

Sheheen should've won.

Nikki Haley is just another gubernatorial embarrassment to the state of South Carolina. After she removed Darla Moore from the Board of Trustees, it was clear that she had zero intention of ousting the shady politics that SC is known for. Seriously, Darla Moore, one of the most giving and inspiring philanthropists alive, and the first female member of Augusta National, was REMOVED by Haley in favor of a campaign contributor. It's not surprising that she allows taxpayer money to finance Clemson's recruiting trips, but that move alone should solidify any Gamecock's intent to vote against her in 2014.

It is said that she removed Moore because of her intent to donate to USC's aeronautical program, which would influence Boeing's assembly in South Carolina. Just another shady agenda-driven SC politician.

Sorry, I just really dislike her.
