MY timeline:
Te'o meets Lennay online. Teo tells his family he met her in person because he is embarrassed
Lennay fake dies. Te'o tells daddy he met her online. Daddy Teo comes up with a plot to make his son win awards. He spices up the story with fabricated hawaii trips and meetings between Teo and Lennay. Manti does this as well, partly to save embarrasment.
Teo enjoys the limelight, while still honestly grieving who he believes to have been a real person.
Lennay calls to restart the relationship. Teo is spooked. He soon realizes it was a hoax though and prepares his story

In the end, spin machine will confirm Manti was definitely a victim.
All media outlets will then blame Manti's horrible performance in BCSNCG on this heavy burden. Will begin to speculate whether Alabama would have won game under different circumstances all off season.
After political fallout causes Teo to go undrafted NCAA will grant him an 'Emotional Redshirt' for an additional year of eligibility and a second chance to win BCSNCG.
Will lose that game to TAMU.
All media outlets will then blame Manti's horrible performance in BCSNCG on this heavy burden. Will begin to speculate whether Alabama would have won game under different circumstances all off season.
