never realized that. i couldnt even begin to draw you lsu's shape. but i know with the lakes its squigly as hell on the western side.

eta: lsu's north side does brush up against a ghetto but they've actually pushed the ghetto back about a half mile to a mile from the campus gates. it used to be a lot closer a decade ago. to the west and south and very nice neighborhoods and to the east is the mississippi river. only addressed this because i saw some posts earlier in the thread that were false regarding lsu being in the middle of a ghetto.

Comments about LSU being "surrounded by the ghetto" are hilarious. The Mississippi River is on the west, the lakes are on the east, and the North Gates shopping and entertainment is to the north.

Houses near LSU go from anywhere in the 300K-500K range immediately outside the South Gates to around a million across the lakes. Show me another school where that's true.

The only questionable area anywhere near LSU is north of the shopping area outside the North Gates, and that gets pushed back every year.

My list would be LSU, Alabama, and Ole Miss. There's a significant drop off after these three.

Many of the campuses in the east are postage stamp sized. Arkansas is small as well, and when you are that small, anything ugly gets magnified.
