The only reason I pulled for Bama is because the ND fans are by far the worst in the country.

Nope, not ever, not even with LSU beating the snot out of us in the most recent bowl game matchup.
Several have chimed in about it being a regional thing, but I don't think that fully explains it. Miami is #2 on my "teams I love to hate" list, and Florida State is top 10. I think it's more about being a part of the best. I think A&M is already seeing the benefit of playing against the best, and it showed against OU.
The absolute best thing about the "SEC, SEC, SEC!" chant is it really rubs others the wrong way.

I pulled for Bama because frick Yankees and I am Got Damn tired of the generalization in the media/hollywood that Southerners are stupid, poor, trashy, and racist. frick Yankees. I want another war.
