For example, look no further than A&M itself. The next year, Fran the Fraud took over, turned Reggie (who was happier and better suited as a passer who made use of his legs on broken plays) into an option battering ram, and proceeded to destroy the program for a decade. The talent is there at a lot of places - a poor coach can squander it more easily than a good coach can build his career on it.
