UAB even leads Florida in total research funding with almost all of UAB's funding coming from the medical school. Florida is still ranked highly though. Listen, Florida is a better school by basically every measure than Alabama/UAB but you simply aren't in the medical school area. Emory and UAB look up to no one but Duke in the Southeast when it comes to the medical schools. UAB has a legitimately elite medical school.
