Really none of the loses were that surprising. All 3 teams, MSU, LSU and Florida have crappy offenses with their defenses matched against talented offenses. Any defense that stays on the field too long will eventually give up points. A solid team has a good balance between offense and defense; the teams that lost do not.

SEC Dominance

Some facts (I did this quick so let me know if I made mistakes):

SEC head to head against BCS conferences so far:

ACC: 6-2 (wins over FSU, GT, Clemson, Wake, and NC State (twice); losses to Clemson (twice))

Big 10: 3-2 (wins over Nebraska and Michigan (twice); losses to Northwestern (twice)

Pac 12: 2-0 (wins over Arizona St and Washington)

Big 12: 0-1 (loss to Texas)

Big East: 0-4 (losses to Louisville (twice), Syracuse, and Rutgers)

Right now that's only 11-9. If Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Alabama can win it would be 14-9 against BCS conferences and ND, which would be respectable but not exactly dominant. Throw in a 7th BCS title in a row would certainly bolster the argument that the SEC is still the best.

On the flip side if Ole Miss, A&M and Alabama were to lose, the record would be 11-12, BCS title streak over, and there would be an all out media celebration that the SEC dominance is in fact over.
