If this is the DE from Houston Fancy says OM already has hooks in him...
All that to say I don't give a frick if we lose every recruit, if it means getting rid of these two then no HS senior in the US is worth us keeping them. That was the Stansbury excuse...

Each day it's sounding like Chris Jones is the next Jadaveon Clowney, some crootniks said he may end up being the #1 player in the nation before signing day gets here.

Bingo. He's a recruit that you give a coach a chance to stay for. Wilson has not committed a "fireable offense"... Does he deserve to be demoted to co-DC/DL coach with Collins taking over playcalling? Well, that move I am fine with.
IF Wilson leaves, it'll be because he took another job IMO. He's the only assistant on staff with a multi-year contract that would have to be bought out...
If Stansbury was hand-delivering Anthony Davis in his 3rd year on the job, I would have damn sure been ok with keeping him around for year 4 and 5.

I've heard Les and Hevesey but not Wilson.

I had no real issue with the d setup for Gator Bowl. It was very obvious in the first half that Goeff had control of NU. The fact that Tyler Russell was voted NU's MVP speaks to why we lost the game. You want to keep Wilson? Put him in a place he can't do too much damage like defensive line and promote GC to DC. But get LK the hell out of Starkville. They need to rattle Louisville's OC to see if he is interested.
State boosters have made it easy for us to lure high quality coordinators. It's time we utilize those resources.

Problem is Stansbury was in his 15th? Year and he or another thug team member would have destroyed Anthony Davis' abilities way before they were realized

Exactly

You don't give a coordinator a chance for a recruit, no matter how good. A position coach? Of course, but not a coordinator. I'm in no way saying he should be fired, but Chris Jones should not factor into Mullen keeping/firing Wilson.

Hevesy and Mullen are best friends. Hev would have to get another job somewhere to leave

Hard to see Wilson stay if demoted

Not true at all

Exactly. That's the only reason he left Oklahoma, so he could be a DC instead of just a DL coach.

Friends yes, but not as close as you make. You may be a little surprised when Hev gets the axe (if my source is right)

getting rid of Wilson would be a tremendous blow to recruiting
I really don't want to run him off just yet
I am all for getting Les out of town
