Please stop. We were also 2 plays away from being 3-9. See how this game works? At a certain point the hypotheticals go out of the window. You are what your record says you are. Who cares how close we came to winning. We lost. There is a reason we came to that situation and couldnt finish the job so many times. We are what we are.

I'd have to agree with this perspective.

Mizzou has a new OC, no QB coach that I know of yet. We have no idea who will be QBing our offense, who will be the RB.

The defense is in the same boat really. It's just all a mystery right now.

But I agree your only as good as your last game in my book, and we stink up the place according to our last game. This was a team with no direction in thier last outing. Reguardless of injuries and stuff. We were just outclassed by A&M from top to bottom.

I agree with Belle also. Our teams success will lie more in the recruiting aspect than in the coaching. I think Pinkel can still get us where we need to go as far as on the field play. But it also largely depends on the players to execute the gameplan. That was some of this teams problem, but not all. I still feel that Yost was in over his head and didn't have what it took to prepair his players to execute the gameplan. The defense was there most the year, but playing most of the game due to lack of offense, they get worn down. They also lacked the depth.

I'm not making a prediction until I see who is filling in these unknown positions. We have three promising QB's with a real chance to gain the starting QB spot. We will have alot more team speed comming in also. So RB is up in the air also. New OL comming in. Same for the defense. There are just too many unknowns at this point.
