So this reporter is upset about the perceived influence that Alabama has on the SEC, yet his solution is for LSU to join a conference where everything is set up for the benefit of one program (Texas, maybe OU as well) and no one denies it?

Jealous much. LSU sounds like a kid that says he will take his ball and go home if he can't be the quarterback. Most SEC schools thought that Alabama would never recover from probation. LSU thought they would be top dog from now on, but Bama recovered.

As to the permanent opponents, Tennessee use to be a top team. It's just their time to be down.

And the SEC office being in B'ham, it's been there since 1948. Started in Knoxville, then Jackson, Mississippi. Moved Birmingham because if was centrally located for the SEC teams.
