Not sure what to make of this.

Dial is going all out to "block" a jogging Murray.

#92 is just jogging in the same area, away from the ball carrier.

Then #3 comes flying across like he's going to tackle someone.

We really need a better view of what was going on around them.

It was a hard arse hit that was definitely not necessary, but still in the guidelines of the rules(besides the helmet to helmet contact).

Its a live play...you shouldn't jog.

He's moving TOWARD the interception returner, to see if he can set up a block.

He's heading in front of the returner, to see if he can get a block on a Georgia player.

I think what elevated the uproar about this particular play is that previously in the game, McCarron got hit and it was flagged. Yeah, it was deemed helmet to helmet, but it was more so in the action of the play itself and appeared not nearly as violent as Dial's "block."

Had the the hit on McCarron, which was an attempt to sack the QB, not been flagged, I don't think you'd see so much controversy about the hit on Murray.

Watch the full youtube. HaHa was still running with the interception when Murray started jogging as if to intercept him for a tackle. Dial tackled Murray before HaHa was tackled.

Youtube - HaHa still had the ball and running with it when Murray was tackled.
