LSU and Fla. were lucky. A&M should have won both, but breaks fell against them. 2-3 plays in either game go the Aggies way and we are 12-0, but that is football and close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Because TAMU, Bama, and LSU are pretty close in terms of how good the teams are.
Same thing happened in the East where different teams beat each other.
