No, not at all. Those really are my favorite college uniforms. I love how Notre Dame changed their helmets and pants. They went back to more of their traditional, old - school gold.

Example:


Here, you can see the helmet is seems very "matte" like and the pants are no different than someone like Purdue, Pitt, etc.

Now, the helmets look a lot more golden like and they pants look like the throwback gold from the 70's. I love them.
