^ Not sure I follow. Some go to Furman, some to Wofford. Many to USC. I was Greek. The Greek scene at USC is full of those types. Now if you want to talk at an aggregate level, then yes, you're correct (Greek life is actually sort of small for a southern university... a/b 20% of student pop). But really the only school that fits the old money southern stereotype in this state is Wofford. And frankly, a lot of people don't want to go to school in Spartanburg.

Alabama has an engineering school. In fact, it's one of the oldest Engineering Colleges in the nation. First one in the South, I believe. I was saying that the Alabama/Barn split isn't so much based upon the degrees offered by either school as it upon other factors.
