A defenseless player is one who is in a position that he cant defend himself. Like a layed out WR.

A player on the defensive side of the ball in inherently not defenseless.

Unless he obviously out of the play. i.e., 30 yards away and behind the play....not like in the Murray hit where he is 4-8 yards away and in front of the play.

Trey, I gotta work today and it's obvious you know more than the coordinator of SEC officials so I'm going to throw in the towel. You're probably the smartest guy I've ever seen on these boards cause no matter how much the facts stare you in the face you aren't going to accept them. It's not your reality and nothing the SEC or anybody else says is going to deter you. You're always right, in your head anyway, and there's nothing i can do about it. You win. That article wasn't even printed in the newspaper. It's just a figment of my imagination. Here, once again, is that figment. Not that I think you will read it or comprehend it.
