All we have to go on at this point is their time in the B10, and Bielema had a better showing in his seven seasons in the B10 than Saban did. I don't think he's a better coach, but at this point in his career, he's ahead of where Saban was at, according to their records.

To give you an idea of what Saban came into as opposed to what BB came into, in the four seasons prior to Saban's arrival Michigan State went 3-8, 5-6, 6-6, 5-6 (officially 0-11 due to an academic scandal). In the four seasons before BB took over Wisconsin, the Badgers went 8-6, 7-6, 9-3, 10-3. That's not exactly comparing apples to apples.
