how is it not a conflict of interest to allow someone that has ties to a school be in control of a one year schedule? what is wrong with contracting out the work to someone in the northeast with no ties? even if the person in the northeast came up with the same schedule as mark it would at least eliminate any question of being bias.

Not entirely. Would it be that hard to get some guys without ties to SEC teams to figure the shite out? I will say that I don't think any BLATANT cheating goes on but you have to admit it's a little eye-brow raising when a guy like this, the head official, etc all have ties to one school. One is an Alum/former AD employee that no doubt cuts a check to Bama every year and in return isn't sitting in the upper decks when Bama's at home. You have a head ref calling a game when his daughters are enrolled at one of the universities... the same one he attended. Perception isn't good.
