Genro: LSU's greatest coach is debatable. You can't count his accomplishments at Bama in the LSU conversation.
I'm not. I don't know why people think I am. There have been books written about how he went in and changed everything there, built the recruiting base up and turned them from mediocre to juggernaut with talent.

To his credit, Miles has continued that and thrived under a system that Saban built and put in place. Miles is a great coach. But what Saban did at LSU is comparable to what Spurrier did at UF and SCar.

Okay but what about Dietzel. He arguably did what Saban did in the 1950's. Then Charlie Mac became the winningest coach and cemented LSU as a viable destination that Saban would consider.

Whether you are suggesting it or not, it is obvious that nationally fans consider Saban's performance at Bama in the consideration of him being the greatest LSU coach.

Now, it is another conversation to say he is the greatest coach to ever coach at LSU. I might be able to agree with you there.
