What some people don't understand about A&M's projected capacity is that A&M has had a different growth trajectory than most other schools. A&M has only been a large school since really the 1970's. Enrollments at that time just started hitting 20 and 30K. In the 90's A&M consistently had enrollments of over 40K and now it is hitting over 50K. You have current classes of 8-9K replacing classes from the 40's, 50's and 60's that were only 2K+.
Instead of needing to rely on building the brand to causal fans to fill the stadium, you have a rapidly growing alumni base. That is a far more stable fanbase.
Any growth from outside the alumni base is pretty much a bonus.

Helps too that the largest concentration of Aggies are only 1.5 hours away.

We have been through this before on here. There is NOTHING special about A&M's growth. Most schools have grown at extreme rates since that time. This is just one more internal Aggie belief that has no outside world credence.
