I'm with you 100%, but Gruden would be a fascinating experiment.

I agree, but at a reasonable price. the first 4 I mentioned are worth breaking the bank over, not Gruden. Shaw's not worth breaking the bank but salary equal give me Shaw all day over Gruden.

Gruden would be able to pull in top 10 recruiting classes...

I understand where people are coming from with Gruden not being a college head coach, and it's a very valid point, but think about it. Just given his likability and recognition he would surely be able to assemble a damn good staff and recruit at the highest level

Maybe he would be a bust but honestly I would take him over Patterson or Gundy

It just reeks of PR. I just don't see gruden sticking around any program for more than 3,4 years. Not enough time to dust off the coaching cobwebs and put together a winner.

Gruden would be interesting, I think he can get it done and if he wins a NC at Arkansas it would make him a football demigod.

100% This. Even if (and I mean a big IF) we landed Gruden, he'll be gone after any success. The guy wants to be on TV. NFL is the only game he wants.

and he wouldn't make retarded coaching decisions like Johnelle, Les, Nutt etc. But Bobby didn't either. It aint gonna happen though

Bobby made some questionable decisions, every coach does, his cost us a bowl our first year.

I like Carroll or Gruden, but just get somebody already.
