The current show is about Alien Investigations. I'm sure it's super bizarre.

Essential Art Bell

Mogray,

Any Tool updates?

I later had it working on iPad, don't know what was wrong on the first attempt. Have to get some work done this evening, but I will tune in for background .

I listened on the way home from work. The episode was OB in Feb 1998, two weeks before I left for my first deployment. Lots of talk of invading Iraq, I remember that like it was yesterday.

Transcapacitor...lol

Kills. I bet you didn't think it would be possible to connect this duel thread, but I'm gonna do it.

So I listened to 10,000 Days (I didn't realize it, but I've heard some of those songs before). The Pot used to get played a lot on a station I listened to.

I can't say which album I like better, probably 3-4 songs I really like off each one, another 2-3 I like, and maybe 1 I don't (Hooker with a Penis was a tough listen the other night, maybe it was the song name that had me thrown off). And I'm sure more listens are needed to know what I really like, especially with this music. Overall, I think 10,000 days was the easier album to digest the first time through (or maybe I'm just more used to it after Aenema).

Oh yeah, and the artwork for this 10,000 days album is pretty effing incredible (very much inspired by DMT).

Here's to connecting the thread.

Rosetta Stoned is about a DMT trip (as I'm sure you know). The big topic of interest I'm on right now is ancient civilizations (before our recognized history).

An author I'm huge on right now, Graham Hancock, is an expert on ancient civilizations (a real life Indiana Jones). He has written a bunch of books about ancient cultures, he's traveled the world searching for evidence, he has a new book coming out completely inspired by an ayahuasca (DMT) trip he had in the Amazon. This guy sounds like he'd be a hippie (he smoked weed for 25 years non stop, makes annual trips to the Amazon to take ayahuasca with Shamans), but if you hear him speak or look at him you'd think he was an Oxford professor, he's brilliant.

There is a Joe Rogan (who I'm not a big fan of, but he's okay) podcast with Graham, they talk about a ton of things related to ancient civilizations and his experiences with ancient mind altering substances like ayahuasca. The lyrics to Rosetta Stoned explain the experience in a really similar way Graham does.

And just to add to this.. Graham would tell you that he's essentially found Atlantis. They've found twin cities off the NW coast of India that are larger than Manhattan. This area hasn't been above water since before the last ice age (well before our recognized human history)... there are many other spots too. Southern coast of India has these large underwater cities, Japan.. and really all over the world. Not to mentions tons of other evidence that supports proof of ancient civilizations. This stuff of course doesn't make it to the news, could you imagine.. "and today they found evidence that completely destroys everything our current reality is founded on, now here's Bob with the weather...". (that's a ripped off Hicks line, I'm sure you know).

Sorry about all the parentheses, bad writing habit I'm in write now.

Hooker with a penis is an awesome song. A commentary on selling out/consumerism.

Hooker With A Penis lyrics

I met a boy wearing Vans, 501s, and a
Dope Beastie t, nipple rings, and
New tattoos that claimed that he
Was OGT,
From '92,
The first EP.

And in between
Sips of Coke
He told me that
He thought
We were sellin' out,
Layin' down,
Suckin' up
To the man.

Well now I've got some
A-dvice for you, little buddy.
Before you point your finger
You should know that
I'm the man,

And if I'm the man,

Then you're the man, and
He's the man as well so you can
Point that frickin' finger up your arse.

All you know about me is what I've sold you,
Dumb frick.
I sold out long before you ever heard my name.

I sold my soul to make a record,
Dip shite,
And you bought one.

So I've got some
Advice for you, little buddy.
Before you point your finger
You should know that
I'm the man,

If I'm the frickin' man
Then you're the frickin' man as well
So you can
Point that frickin' finger up your arse.

All you know about me is what I've sold you,
Dumb frick.
I sold out long before you ever heard my name.

I sold my soul to make a record,
Dip shite,
And you bought one.

All you read and
Wear or see and
Hear on TV
Is a product
Begging for your
Fatass dirty
Dollar

So...Shut up and

Buy my new record
Send more money
frick you, buddy.

Mogray,

I'm glad you've discovered incredible music that directly relates to things that you're interested in.

Ancient city off of Japan (Mu), cities under water all over the world. I've always been extremely interested in this stuff. Did you know that survivors of the Indonesian tsunami reported that when the ocean receded just before the waves crashed ashore, the receding water exposed an entire ancient city with multiple temples that's been underwater for thousands of years?

Oral folklore spoke of cities that disappeared into the ocean before the written record. Experts dismissed the oral traditions as myth. They're researching the waters now and will soon rewrite history.

There's so much we don't know. And, I believe that extremely advanced civilizations have existed multiple time over that past 50,000 years...perhaps even before the last Ice Age. They either were destroyed by natural catastrophes or human conflict.

We could do the same thing to our civilization with nukes or EMP attacks. One EMP attack over the center of the continental U.S. would knock us back to the horse and carriage immediately. Millions would starve. Middle ages within one week according to a Congressional report.

Civilizations rise and fall. Why couldn't this have happened multiple times throughout history?

By the way...did you see the irony of Rosetta Stoned? Let's consider that the protagonist and Uncle Martin actually were abducted by aliens during their "trip" near area 51. The aliens chose a random human, the chosen one, to tell the world of armaggedon and how we can prevent it.

What the aliens don't understand is that they chose a complete loser who is on drugs and this individual wont remember the warning that was given to him.

Therefore, the entire human race is doomed because the chosen one happened to be a fricking loser on drugs.

I find that insanely hilarious.

I'm sure there's a more existential meaning to the song....however, I find the irony of a drugged out loser being chosen to be the world's savior perfectly satisfying.

SoCal,

What's laughable is that there is movement in fundamental Christianity that is teaching that history of the universe is only 4,000 to 6,000 years old. The age of everything is younger than the end of the last Ice Age?

I work with someone who believes this. When asked about dinosaurs, he believes that evidence indicates that ancient humans walked the earth with Tyrannosaurus Rex. He also believes that we've been lied to by the science community because that community's number 1 agenda is the destruction of religion.

I'm a Christian, but I believe that science and God are the same thing. I believe that evolution is God's plan....hell, God even starts the old testament with an explanation of evolution. A sequence of events (evolution) takes place. God created the heavens (universe) and then earth. Then everything else takes place in a logical order that seems very similar to evolution.

Therefore, why the hell are there only two groups bitching at each other - creationists versus evolutionists? Where is the third group that ties the two ideas together into one harmonious belief system?

Yeah that irony is funny, I didn't think of it like that until you said something. These lyrics are definitely hitting me hard though, that Hooker with a Penis song is exactly how I feel about things, yet I was totally turned off by the title.

The more I've learned about DMT trips I've found that those type of experiences happen to pretty much everyone that tries it, which is why its so highly recommended to be with a Shaman guide while doing it.. and it's said that a person has to practice certain things and learn to navigate the trip a little bit so they can remember it's importance. They call it the spiritual molecule because our pineal glad lets out a copious amount of DMT when we die, so people think that by taking unnatural amounts of DMT (natural levels are made every night when we dream) we go into a spiritual realm. And within that realm there are good and evil entities.. it's all really fascinating to me. I'm kind of just talking without a purpose now, so I'll stop.

Kills truth has no place in the agenda for a homogenous corporate ruled, religious-less world funded by central banks.

I'm not gonna go down that road, everybody already hates me because I'm a "liberal". God forbid I make my views on religion known. Lol.

All ill say is that when it comes to creationism vs. evolution, anything is possible. I just choose to side more towards science.

In reality, we could be some kids science project in an alternate universe. I think about these sorts of things sometimes and then...

I like the mix of creationism - evolution.

I don't know how anyone on earth can reject evolution when literally every single living thing on this planet has been evolving.

But yeah, opening this box might be too much.

Lets discuss 46 and 2. That is one of the most intriguing tracks on Aenema.

Jungian theory and 46 and 2

Song with lyrics/explanation

Discuss. I want to know what you guys think.

I agree with the first link, especially since it mentions sacred geometry, which Danny Carey is well known to incorporate into his drumming style. In fact, Carey's setup is fundamentally setup on the premise of sacred geometry...and the tabla teachings of Aloke Dutta.
