Florida isn't playing up or down to anyone - they aren't good - just scrappy

I think people need to remember something and I feel like I've had to say this repeatedly this year:
Every single week against every single opponent, Florida shows us glimpses of why we thought they would lose 4-6 games this year. The offensive line is inconsistent (although it's been worse with the injuries lately) their best offensive playmaker is a TE that can't catch very well, and a hybrid HB type player in Trey Burton. They have a sophomore QB that is also still inconsistent, and a first year OC.
Somehow, with all of that, UF has been able to play good defense, good special teams, and do JUST ENOUGH on offense each week, protecting the football, and keeping field position in their favor, to be JUST BETTER than the teams they are playing.
It is a miracle that this team is 9-1, and was one bad game away from being undefeated, with 4 top 10 BCS teams on their schedule (3-1 vs those teams).
It is unfortunate that Florida had to lay an egg in the biggest game of the year, but just remember, every week we watch them you can see why they could have been 6-4 or worse at this point. So don't be confused when they barely beat a decent sun belt team. Just be happy that they're still winning, and look forward to the improvements that we all hope to see on offense next year once UF starts getting some better players and some continuity on that side of the ball.

I am struggling in evuating how good this team is.
The facts are that they have beaten 3 top 10 teams, lost to UG only after commiting 6 turnovers and IF we can beat JSU on Saturday will be only the 5th UF team in history to win 10 games in the regular season. (fact check) That is all I can remember 95,96,06,08.
Having said that, they are painful to watch. The the offensive line can't protect the passer, can't open a hole for the run game. We don't have receivers that can get open, we can't hit them if they do. We commit way too many stupid penalties.
I know history will remember them as a 10, 11 or 12 win team but I can't put them on the level of the other UF teams that did the same. Or maybe in the end I will????

Injuries are the biggest reason the team has digressed, imo.

I admit at times during the ULL game it was frustrating to watch. That said, you are correct in that this is way more than anyone had reasonably expected.
But, really, at the end of the day getting enough to get the W is really all that matters.

We have had 12 10+ win seasons.
91, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 00, 01, 06, 08, 09

I was refering to regular season records not overall record. Some of those years we had 10 wins including the bowl game. Looks like 6 is the correct number for regular season wins. Thanks for the correction, made me go back and actually look it up. I left off the 91 and 09 teams. 93,94,98,00,01 all had 9 wins in the regular season.
10 wins in the regular season is a big deal!
