I think it's the very shallow slope of the stands compared to a lot of other stadiums more than anything. Alabama fans aren't consistently loud as say LSU, Florida, or even Auburn. Having said that, we do bring the noise as well as most places on occasion (2002 UGA, 2003 Oklahoma, 2005 Florida, end of 2007 UGA, 2008 Auburn, etc. The pick 6 in the 2002 UGA by Charlie Peprah was the loudest I've ever heard a stadium and I've been to all the big SEC stadiums.
