Mr. Maplethorpe, I looked up alot of yall's defensive stats today, and they are mostly garbage, in that your defense is better than what the rankings are on ESPN.
Because teams get better as the season progresses, you need to take your last 4 SEC games, add up all the points you gave up, subtract special teams and defensive points, divide by 4.
Then do that for your opponent's defense.
Check it out... do the math... you might be surprised how good you are.

They also have a high paced offense which will skew the numbers further.

Even that is suspect. We scored 28 points before Auburn had a first down. Johnny played one series in the second half, at which point we went up 49-7. For all intents and purposes we held Auburn to 7 points. We gave up 24 to LSU, 27 to Ole Miss(in a really really really sloppy game) and 10 points to Arkansas. Realistically our defense isn't going to give up more than 35 to Alabama, and a lot of that has to do with our up tempo offense. If we score 36 or more we beat Alabama, imo. Does that happen? I don't think so, but I fricking hate the gumps and I want to stomp their smug entitled asses.
