A copy/paste of my reply from this thread.

--------------------------
I think that Nick Saban is the best college coach there is and that Bama is the consensus #1 team in the nation. How can you expect to beat that? I don't. I'm not saying we have no shot. This is just not a game that I expect to win.

Our two losses came against teams who were able to keep JFF in the pocket, and collapse that pocket rushing only three, four, or five guys. We have a quality offensive line, and not many teams can do that. The grinders tried and failed. If you all out blitz against JFF, he will smoke you.

Our defense has been pretty damn good against the run this season. I knew coming into the season that we would have good linebacker play, but the D-Line has really stepped up. They've been much better than I expected. If you think you're going to run, run, run until we're worn down, I don't think you'll like the result.

Our secondary is pitiful. That's been mostly irrelevant in the SEC, but it's still the ugly truth. For all of the shite we took from the arrogant coonasses on this site after we lost to LSU, there are two facts that can't be ignored.

1. If we had held onto the ball (we were -5 in turnovers) we would have won.

2. If LSU had been able to hit the open receiver (and they missed time after time) they would have killed us.

I did not like Sumlin as our hire last fall, and my apprehension has been proven wrong by what he has done so far. I don't doubt that Saban finds a way to win. He almost always does. But I can guarantee you that Sumlin will have our guys ready to play. You won't be facing a "deer in the headlights" opponent who is in awe of everything going on around them. I promise you that.

I want to thank Choot-em Tiger for informing us that Alabama's linebackers are just as big as the Texas A&M lineman. Considering A&M averages about 6'5 (sans Patrick Lewis) and 310 across the offensive line with bookend tackles championed as the best duo in college football, this is very critical information to know.
