I agree with your general comment, however I do not think this was a bad game for Alabama... they got out played.
I just did not think that I would be saying this after the game. Bama's defense looked average. I offense could not get much going - running or passing.
Running game - with the OL bama has I thought the running game was going to show up
Passing - ok, so people have good and bad games, but besides a couple of pass plays, the receivers were blanketed.
I have a lot of confidence in LSU players, so I thought it was going to be a good game, with a chance for LSU to win. However, wow, bama's team is lauded for things - coaching, talent, etc - but that stuff never really materialized.
I am making a good valid statement here. Some of you cannot handle that, huh?

LSU played absolutely lights-out. I don't know if it was Death Valley, the extra week of preparation or the fact that LSU has probably had this date circled since January, but LSU went out there and flat out tried to execute.
Bama's saving grace was a relative lack of mistakes, even considering the fumble.
LSU wanted us and we weren't prepared for just how badly.
