You're absolutely right. It pays shite in most areas of the country so you either love it or you love the power trip. All the guys I know love it. They include county jail deputies to state troopers, to US Marshals, DEA, etc. There are bad apples in every profession, people just hate cops because they deal with them daily.

You should amend that to read that people hate coos.bc generally they only deal with them.when they have sone something which draws their attemtion and not in a good way.

I love cops actually, I like having attorneys as friends too. It's crazy how many of my buddies got into law enforcement. The better ones were some of the wildest craziest dudes I knew, the couple that are shite-tastic were just kinda off, and I know it's a power thing or to get some respect in the community.
My favorite cops are the shady ones that go sex up chicks while they're on duty or get busted off duty with drugs.
I'd be a horrible cop, so respect to those that take the job and the purpose seriously.
