He is actually a very talented kid that could play Defense or offense. He had grade issues, but highly talented

Kids bein' kids IMO. Was it his choice to decommit from UF? IIRC there was talk that he wasn't doing what the coaches had asked him to do schoolwise, but I may be wrong about that.

serious question for the vols. Why not Butch Davis?
I look at your situation where there is not an abundance of local talent, a guy with a keen eye for talent would be ideal, no? Butch is arguably the best talent evaluator in the game football - pro or college
He turned out arguably the most talented team ever at miami and then proceeded to churn out NFL talent at frickin UNC
Tampa Bay fans were not too fond of Grudens ability to develop talent. They appreciated the superbowl but his younger players never developed.
