God I hated those sore vag mod's over on Cockytalk. The worst one was CoverTwo. Dude def should've been a cop the way he had a power trip just because the recruit forum was his own personal cum dumpster.

Holy shite scrooster, you nailed it and I was actually desensitized from saying it due to being on Ctalk for so long. Hell I'm pretty sure CoverTwo banned me once over there because I farted at my own computer.

Just out of curiosity when you met the mods can you be specific on who was who and your impressions?

Cover Two I had pegged for a light in the pants type with a solid 2lbs of sugar in his arse.

Spurticus I always guessed had a mullet and took snakes with him everywhere he went. Probably drew unicorns and shite in school.

The problem with the world these days is that the people in charge of some message boards have never had a discussion in a bar over beer where, if you went too far you risked getting rapped in the mouth for being a douche bag.

Nerds, geeks and people who have never competed for anything on any field of endeavor in their lives are moderating too many message boards these days. I think most of the ones around here are the sit down and drink a beer types, verses the ones at CockyTalk and the FGF where I know, for a fact, they are the punky, nerdy, geeky types that you would not want to have a simple discussion with much less drink a beer with in a good bar somewhere.

I've met some of the mods on both CockyTalk and the FGF - once. Not my kind of people. I never went back to any of their cookouts, never again even read any of their message boards. It took me two looks to decide they would be outcast in normal circles. But on message boards they consider themselves greek gods with keyboards that lower booms and mouses that send lightening bolts down upon anyone who might disagree with them in the slightest.

You probably say more than you realize: as you say, if someone gets too full on alcohol and says stupid fricked up shite that's ignorant in the presence of someone it offends, like say in a bar or something, then if that person don't like he can take you outside behind the bar and cave the side of your fricking head in. And then maybe you'll wisen up, or maybe you don't, but either way it doesnt matter any more...

But then you talk about "Nerds, geeks and people who have never competed for anything on any field of endeavor in their lives" being on message boards.....you were referring to moderators, but what you probably don't know (perhaps you're drunk?) is that what you're mostly referring to are the posters on those msg boards...

nameless people who hide behind user names and silly avatars who trash real people's names and reputations in the convenient privacy of their dimly monitor-lit basements. I guess that's what you're referring to as taking it "like a frickin' man", but since I'm not drunk like you, I can't immediately say I agree with you....

The msg board owners simply own those msg boards. Way out there and too abstract for human comprehension, I know. But they have the right to let anything and everything go, as perhaps the owners of this site does, and they also have the right to NOT let it go, as the folks over at CT choose. They have their reasons.

Now, you could discuss their rights with them face-to-face personally over some cold beer at the local bar "like a frickin' man", or you could rant about it on a msg board under some name like scrooster.
