If you understood the history of the term you'd get it. They hate this term especially the older ones. The implication is that all the UT men stayed home during WW2 sitting on their front porch sipping tea while the Aggies were off fighting Nazis and Japs. There is some truth to this.

I get it, but sitting at home on the front pitch sipping tea sounds a lot better than fighting in a war.

Well if the were cowards and didn't want to fight, than use it to abuse em.
