In that particular game, we got no pressure from our front 4(until we put Quay in in the 4th quarter). We were having to bring 5 or 6 on every play. This was why our rsFr MLB had an eyepopping stat line, because often he was the only one at home.

So, in essence, yes...selling out to stop the pass was in fact hurting our run defense... We generally play a balanced style of defense. This game was an exception to that rule...

That said, I'd be incredibly surprised if Quay doesn't start for us the rest of the year... I don't know how he is schematically in understanding our defense, but he is the best player on the field by a ridiculous amount when he's out there
