UK declined an interview request for athletic director Mitch Barnhart on Monday because there is “no new ground,” an athletic department spokesman said. Tony Neely added that Barnhart’s position on Phillips remains the same: he’ll be evaluated after this season.

Cause I'm sure that's just going to do wonders for recruiting and keep the little bit of talent that we do have on the roster.

I think it's media speak although it may very well be true. I think if we get blown out by UGA and Mizzou, then lose to Samford, I don't see how he wouldn't "resign" before the end.

I dunno. From everything I'm hearing Barnhart is going to give him every last opportunity to try to hold onto to his job.
Considering the volume of jobs that will be open in the post-season, this bothers me. Should've just announced he was done at the end of the season and started the coaching search.
