true true. My comment was more for the Gov't trying to hide the fact, not the people that sacrificed themselves. I don't believe that the Russian public ever really knew the dangers of that reactor until years after it failed.


It's ludicris that they still say only 30 deaths can be attributed to the accident.

From everything I've been told, there wasn't a whole hell of a lot of volunteering taking place. Further more, the first responders had no clue what they were walking into. I've heard some absolutely heart wrenching stories about the first responders.
