FLORIDA'S TEAM STATS GAME BY GAME
LSU'S TEAM STATS GAME BY GAME
Couple things jump out.
LSU has eight turnovers through five games and Florida has forced seven turnovers through four games.
Florida has two turnovers through four games and LSU has forced 12 turnovers through five games.
I think this game will come down to the turnovers and the teams' ability to capitalize on them.
Time of possession is also an area the Gators appear to be strong in, holding the ball for over 33 minutes in every contest.
This will likely contribute to making it a low scoring affair.
Should be a great game.

Well, frick. I clicked and expected to engage in a huge peeing match.
I'll have to step back and take a minute if you don't mind.
ETA: Just realized that if I wait a couple of minutes the peeing match will be underway one way or another. BRB

Bowling Green has also played Idaho this season.
Just an interesting tidbit.

Really looking forward to this one. I agree it's going to be low scoring. LSU's offense was so conservative in the Auburn game it almost backfired. I don't think they quite trust Mettenberger yet on the road, but they are going to have to be less conservative to beat Florida.
I think LSU's defense can rattle Driskel into a key turnover that may be the difference in the game.

The biggest difference and advantage for Florida, the quality of competition so far. Florida has seen good teams and risen to the occasion. This will be LSUs first test, and Florida will take advantage of that.

This game is tough to call. I think both teams have the ability to kick it up a notch on both sides.
13-10 or 17-14. You pick the winner.

Did I just become a Florida fan?

Towson getting 188 yds on the ground is a stat that jumps out at me...but I know its hard to get team fired up for cupcakes....UF kinda sleepwalked through UK imho.
Maybe a low scoring affair....but some big plays on defense/special teams will make it about 27-16 UF with my orange and blue tinted glasses on. If no big plays 17 points could win the game. Hard hitting is going to heard in Ocala.

I respectfully disagree, Auburn was LSU's first test.
And yeah I know Auburn lost to Clemson, Miss St, and nearly a very good ULM team... However, I still put them on the same level as A&M as far as a quality opponent goes.
Additionally, LSU has defeated a currently ranked top 25 team.

I could deal with a 2007esque game (with LSU being the away victor this time of course). Have to admit, I'm starting to get really hyped about this game. Just don't want to see a repeat of 2008.

Florida's defensive stats against Bowling Green are equally unimpressive (79 plays for 327 yards)
I wouldn't read too much into the stats against the cupcakes.
