I'll take the easy answer...all of the above.
In HS, he didn't face the size/speed he does now so he was able to just get by on raw ability without worrying much about the finer points.
A better quarterback would help. Even with a line, I'm not sold on Franklin. I'm not saying we have anyone better, but just saying as far as DGB putting up impressive numbers, I don't think it will ever be with Franklin at QB.
A better line is definitely needed. Currently, not enough time for routes to develop.
I'll bite my tongue about the playbook, it's complexity and our style of the spread in general, but I can understand everyone learns at their own pace and any college playbook is going to be more complex than his high school playbook.
