You know, the thought of Strong isn't so bad. However, Missouri is very loyal to Pinkel since he rebuilt the program from the cellar of the 80s and 90s and almost got us to a National Championship game.

They won't fire him due to one bad season. They'll give him 3 seasons to make things happen.

This is a pivotal time for Mizzou. It's important not to push the panic button. Mizzou caught some breaks with the SEC move. They got put in the East away from Bama and LSU. They got Arkie as a perm rival. The Big 1G is going in the toilet and Mizzou is the best positioned school to pull from Big 1G states.

Still, I don't think Mizzou understands just how serious they need to get about football if they want to win in the SEC. In the Big 12 you could get a great coach and overcome a lot. In the SEC the talent across the board is simply too deep and the facilities too impressive. It seems as though you have spent some investment to improve but still aren't truly serious yet. What I mean by serious is having a plan to rival UT, UGA, and UF in resources and facilities or even Bama, Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, or South Carolina. Are you ready to drop $3-500 mill getting there because that is what it going to take. A&M realizes this and we are backing up the Brinks truck to take very good to great because very good is a formula for mediocrity.

Mizzou could really be a power if they choose to. It's not going to come easily though and it would certainly help if you could find a donor that wants to write a 9 figure check to help out. You have a lot to work with but hopefully you take this year as a wake up to what you need to do instead of turning on each other. Good luck because the mountain is only getting taller, UF has re-awoken and the arms race in the East is in overdrive to match the West. Either step up or prepare to get stepped on.
