I'm pretty sure they aren't going to ditch the rule. What the hell, let's just keep letting them pull each others helmets off.

The rule has a purpose. When I was working with football, I had hell trying to get the kids to wear their helmet correctly. If a player dies as a result of a head injury or is paralyzed as a result of a c spine injury the helmet company can not be held liable if the helmet is not properly fitted.

That is my point the rule as it exist today gives an incentive to pull someone helmet off. That is why I started this topic. If this rule continues to exist you will see other players trying to pull helmets off star players to keep them out of the game.
